My hope is in God and His providence. Though I lose my flesh, my soul is secure.
I am ready to die for my grandkids future.
so I've been broken by life and my own expectations, and yet again, I am seeking the next phase of my life. It isn't the number of times one is knocked to the floor, helpless, gravely wounded, but the number of times one can get back up.
I feel like God isn't finished with me, and though I am a fraction of the man I once was, I still have my thoughts, hopes, dreams, and an indefatigable sense of humor.
Perhaps I should finish that book, I can do that.
and if war breaks out, I'm perfect cannon fodder.
But if it doesn't, we'll see what lies ahead.
