The Biden administration has reportedly placed an unofficial "gag order" on Border Patrol agents and sector chiefs as a surge of migrants swarm the southern border.
Four current and two former Customs and Border Protection officials said to NBC News that they have been told to deny requests for media "ride-alongs" with agents, and press officers have been told to send any requests for information to the press office in Washington for approval.
Agents responsible for keeping track of the number of migrants in custody have also been told to prevent leaks by not sharing their information. The officials said the restrictions and others like them are often referred to as unofficial "gag orders."

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Tuesday the agency is "on pace to encounter more individuals on the southwest border than we have in the last 20 years."
"Across the federal government, certain employees are designated spokespeople for their respective agencies and public statements are vetted to ensure accuracy," a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said.

"This standard and process has been followed at DHS since the Department's inception and across bipartisan administrations. Customs and Border Protection continues to publicly provide the same monthly data on the same schedule as it has since 2014."
The unofficial policy was reportedly passed down verbally, and it has led some agents to release videos showing the state of the border without permission from Washington, according to NBC.

One video released by Rep. Henry Cuellar's office over the weekend showed dozens of migrants crossing the Rio Grande on a raft. The Texas Democrat has been vocal in the past about his disapproval of President Joe Biden not visiting the border as it is flooded by migrants.

A legal team whose members routinely appear in court to fight for religious rights and defend Christians who are attacked for their faith is creating an opportunity for Americans to urge members of Congress to address fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
Through Liberty Counsel's campaign, citizens can send faxes to members in the U.S. House or Senate.
It provides for senders to cover the cost of the fax and contribute to the organization as well.
It explains that seven states that were called for former Vice President Joe Biden have now cast two sets of Electoral College votes.

"Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., as chair of the U.S. Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, held a hearing on election fraud that established strong evidence of fraud," Liberty Counsel said.
"We must urge Republican U.S. legislators to stop the fraud when they meet on January 6."
The organization said: "Republican Electoral College voters cast alternate votes for President Trump in Pennsylvania (2, Georgia (16), Michigan (16), Wisconsin (1, Arizona, (11), Nevada (6) and New Mexico (5). All combined, these contested states have 84 Electoral College votes. That is more than enough to swing the presidential election for one candidate or the other."
In Congress, the group explained, "with the objection of one member from each chamber, contest election results."
Do U.S. lawmakers know there's plenty of evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 election?
93% (940 Votes)
7% (72 Votes)
"Two members of the legislature can constitutionally take control out of the hands of the swing states and move it to the federal level."
The fax explains to members of Congress the problems with the "irrevocably tainted" election.

It says a forensic audit of voting machines in Antrim County, Michigan, found votes were flipped from President Trump to Joe Biden due to a "machine enabled program."
And "an amazing 68% of votes had been 'adjudicated.'"
Further, documentation that is legally required to be maintained was deleted, and "there were three separate vote totals on the total number of voters and the total votes for each candidate changed three times."
In Georgia, among other problems, "66,000 kids" voted.
"Multiple Post Office workers in Pennsylvania and Michigan confirmed that their office stamped the wrong date on ballots so they would be counted after the election. In addition, up to 288,000 ballots went missing during one transfer in postal custody in PA."
Nevada saw "tribal groups" paying people to vote and telling them to vote for Biden, and in Arizona, thousands of voters never proved they are citizens.
The message to members of Congress explains, "For these, and thousands of other reasons, I plead with you to stand up for electoral integrity and vote to name President Trump president for four more years. Fraud must not be allowed to reign in America."

Vice President Mike Pence said Friday that the Trump campaign is fighting to make sure every legal vote counts – and every illegal vote is thrown out – because of the importance of the integrity of the election ballot in America's republic.
Pence was speaking at a college retreat for the Young America's Foundation in Arlington, Virginia.
The campaign now is fighting in multiple states to have illegal votes rejected after the media projected Joe Biden the winner.
The battle, Pence said, also is "about preserving what we have accomplished and have yet to do, and it's all about preventing the other side from undoing all the progress that we've made in making America great again."
TRENDING: 'I caught them all' – Trump's most important quote?
"First and foremost, why we fight: It's about protecting the integrity of the ballot. You know, men and women of YAF, I think you all know the right to vote is central to our republic. It has been defended by generations of American heroes in uniform. And any time that -- that a fraudulent vote enters the ballot, it -- it literally cancels the honest vote of an American -- an honest vote that was won and fought for in generations of warfare by this country," he said.
"And so we're going to stand to preserve the integrity of the vote. We're going to -- we're going to fight for an outcome in this election that wins us four more years. But we're also going to fight to ensure that we respect the honest and legal vote of every American for this generation and the next. The American people deserve nothing less. I mean, you all know, the liberal media doesn't get to pick our president; the American people do. And we're going to make sure -- we're going to make sure that the American people's choice prevails in this presidential election. So that's first and foremost why we're fighting right now.
"But we're also fighting to preserve everything that we've accomplished. It really is amazing to think about what we have done in the last four years. And I say that with a little swirl of my hand because I picked that up off the president. I've lost count of the number of times that people would come into the Oval Office and say to the president, 'Thank you for what you've done.' And he would always -- he gets his ha- -- just, 'We.' I mean, this is a president that -- that understands that everything that we've been able to accomplish, it's because of the support of tens of millions of Americans who knew we could be strong again, who knew we could be prosperous again if we re-grounded our nation in all the ideals and principles that have always made America great.
"Think about it: Four years ago, we inherited a military that had been hollowed out by devastating budget cuts, an economy that was struggling to break out of the slowest recovery since the Great Depression. Terrorism was on the rise around the world. And -- and, as you all know well, we witnessed a steady assault on our most cherished values and freedoms.

"But under President Donald Trump, in four short years, we rebuilt our military; we restored the arsenal of democracy; we revived our economy, secured our border, supported law enforcement, and stood for life, liberty, and the Constitution of the United States of America."
Further, the ISIS caliphate was taken down.
And the economy has been revived with an energy plan, free and fair trade deals, millions of new jobs and a renaissance for small businesses.
He also noted the 220 conservatives appointed to the judiciary and the significant advances for the pro-life movement.
"And as our election contest continues in courts across America, I want to promise you: We are going to keep fighting until every legal vote is counted and until every illegal vote is thrown out. And whatever the outcome at the end of the process, I promise you: We will never stop fighting to make America great again," he said.
