" Public Prayer and the Silent Majority."
I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December.
I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution.
Neither life, liberty, nor your pursuit of happiness will be endangered because someone says a 30 second prayer before a football game, or a rodeo. What's the big deal? It's
not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts.
They're just talking to a God, they believe in and asking him
to grant safety to the players on the field, or the riders in the rodeo, and the fans going home from the event.
"But it's a Christian prayer," some will argue. Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country founded because Christians wanted the freedom to practice their religion.
Christian churches outnumber all others here, so what would you expect? Somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome...
"What about the atheists?" is another argument. What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring an iPod or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer. Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.
Christians are tired of letting the courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating and before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now, a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying. God, help us. If that last sentence offends you, well...just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we tell these enemies of religious freedom, "You don't have to pray, you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance, and you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right, but you are no longer going to take our rights away. The God you have the right to denounce is on our side."
God bless us one and all, especially those who denounce Him.
God bless America, despite all her faults.
God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.
May this be the year the silent majority is heard and we no longer need to fear lawsuits for politely expressing our faith in public.
In God WE Trust..

Some Folks Have Come to Despise the NFL...
For fans who follow the sport, most of this will be a simple reminder of things you already know. For the rest, it's a wake-up call:
In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling before each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his eye-black to avoid glare, and made him take it off.
In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.
In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.
In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure "eye black for breast cancer awareness.
In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (Not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem..).
In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty.
2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression. It seems quite clear based on these facts that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players demonstrating RESPECT for any issue:
For God, social causes such as mental health, cancer, domestic violence, for cops killed arbitrarily, for being cops, or for the Memory of 9/11...
BUT they will allow demonstrations of DISRESPECT for our National Flag, our National Anthem, for America , and for the American People, if it will help mollify a particular Group and its supporters. That is who and what the NFL now has shown itself to be.
Pass this post along to all your friends and family, if you believe it worthy of sharing. Honor our military; too many of whom have come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.
So the NFL, MLB and the NBA can . . .
I don’t give a Rats ass, who this offends, but I stand by it. War is coming, sooner or later! You the Government!! You are all a bunch of cowards! You raised the cost of living so high that both parents are always at work, rather than spending time with their
children (single parents stand no chance)?. You took God out of schools. Parents were told 'No you can't discipline your kids'. Well, now most of those kids are rude and out of control. You shall reap what you sow!
We have taken a whole generation and turned them into selfish, entitled brats who have no respect for people, property or authority! You deem people with terminal illnesses and some with only a few months to live…fit for work!!! If you knew what was in any of these vaccination sprays and injections you wouldn't let your pet have one never mind your child. You allow our veterans of war to go homeless and hungry but give out millions to foreign aid!!! You bend over backward to be politically correct, too scared to say enough is enough, in case you offend someone. You put the retirement age up so people must work until they drop. You cause the elderly, those that have paid their debt to society and their families, to go broke caring for them either at home or in a nursing home...
THINGS NEED TO CHANGE!
Copy & paste if you have the guts!
( I am betting most of my friends don't have any guts, that's why so few actually read or respond to my Posts... Offended now? I don't need to be
popular, I just need to be true to myself and my standards!)
Can I get an Amen?
