My dad and I were talking politics on a drive back from Lancaster and he reminded me of something very important. We need to pray for the people in our government, and NOT just pray for the ones we like or think like us. Actually, it is imperative we pray for the ones that we don't like! He reminded me that leaders in government are appointed by God, so we must pray for them regardless of our feelings towards them. Now I know it doesn't feel good and I know my flesh would rather see the person burn, but if it's good governance we are after, PRAY! Pray that righteousness will prevail! Everyone wins if governors govern in righteousness (even the one you might not have like initially)!
