Photoshop of the day - Fix your eyes on Jesus
Thank you so much for one of my followers, Susan, who suggested this idea as a possible piece of artwork. She suggested that focus on the teary gaze of Mary as she looked at her Son on the cross. I cannot fathom what that moment was like for Mary, and I know this artwork does not do it any justice. When the baby Jesus was born, Mary looked at her Son and likely had tears of joy in her eyes as she held Him. And then at the cross, she was filled with tears of sorrow as the nails held Him.
As believers we are to look unto Jesus as well, knowing that He alone is the one able to save us. He is the author AND finisher of our faith. From the manger to the cross, Jesus came to this world to save us. And that alone is worthy of our continual gaze.
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV)
