Jared Kushner is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize (by Alan Dershowitz) for negotiating the Abraham Accords
Former White House senior adviser Jared Kushner and his deputy, Avi Berkowitz, were nominated on Sunday for the Nobel Peace Prize for their work on Middle East peace.
The pair were recognized for four normalization deals between Israel and Arab nations known as the 'Abraham Accords.'
They were nominated by lawyer Alan Dershowitz, who was eligible to do so in his capacity as a professor emeritus of Harvard Law School.
Kushner, who is Trump's son-in-law, and Berkowitz, who was the Middle East envoy, were key figures in negotiating deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
The deals were announced in a four-month span between mid-August and mid-December and were the most significant diplomatic breakthroughs in the Middle East in 25 years as the region girds for a prolonged confrontation with Iran.
Kushner said in a statement he was honored to be nominated for the prize.
President Joe Biden's administration is expected to review all national security deals reached during the Trump administration, including arms packages for the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
There have been some complaints from lawmakers about the Morocco deal because to get Morocco to agree to it, the United States recognized Morocco's sovereignty over the disputed Western Sahara region.
Trump left office on January 20 under a cloud of controversy, potentially impacting whether the pair of aides would be awarded the Nobel.
There are few barriers to being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize: actually winning is a far tougher challenge.

South Dakota became the only state in the union to see lower unemployment in December 2020 than in December 2019.
The state saw a 0.4% decrease in the unemployment rate, which in December 2020 stood at 3.0% compared to 3.4% in December 2019, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. South Dakota is also tied with Nebraska for the lowest unemployment rates in the United States.
South Dakota was one of three states that either decreased their year-over-year unemployment rates or registered no change. Alaska’s unemployment rate decreased by 0.3% to 5.8%, and Nebraska’s rate was the same in December 2020 as it was in December 2019.

The Domestic Terrorism Act Boils Down to State Prosecution of White People for False Sedition
A very horrendous bill was introduced recently in Congress called the “Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021.” The irony of this bill title is that it is not about preventing terrorism; it is about legalizing terrorism by the state against the citizenry. The motivating factor for this atrocity was said to be the recent purposely staged and intentionally allowed false-flag coup at the Capitol on January 6th. The entire situation was planned in advance to assure that Biden would be the ‘selected’ president, while the members of Congress could pretend to be fearful for their lives. The police led both legitimate and criminal protesters inside the Capitol building, allowed them to remain there, all while doing nothing but brutally murdering one innocent woman.

Extremists Emboldened by Capitol Attack Pose Rising Threat, Homeland Security Says
Warning that the deadly rampage of the Capitol this month may not be an isolated episode, the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday said publicly for the first time that the United States faced a growing threat from “violent domestic extremists” emboldened by the attack.
The department’s terrorism alert did not name specific groups that might be behind any future attacks, but it made clear that their motivation would include anger over “the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives,” a clear reference to the accusations made by President Donald J. Trump and echoed by right-wing groups that the 2020 election was stolen.
“D.H.S. is concerned these same drivers to violence will remain through early 2021,” the department said.
