LOYALTY VALUE ($$$)
Those who shadowbanned and denied services will pay the ultimate cost because users on both sides will weigh in on their future value, and probably decide the "loyalty" value is/or was, subpar.
Parler has suffered probably the most as far as social media platforms are concerned due to denial of services by companies like Amazon and Gooogle, and others. However, there is talk that Parler will be back. I tend to believe that as well. WHY? Because the "loyalty" value is there. Plus, there is big money to be made with this platform - it's just getting the right players to the table.
I enjoyed the Parler. I had photography groups, religion (non-political), family, and vacation and travel sites on there. I never had that on Twitter. Twitter doesn't have the "Loyalty" value that it once enjoyed either. That is their own folly. They will probably go the way of MySpace - but time will tell. I'm not deleting them for now, but I really don't utilize their messaging. It doesn't "sell" to me.
IT'S CALLED COMPETITION.
Twitter got their butts kicked by Parler. If it isn't Parler that comes back, it will be something that Twitter won't be able to stand against. It will be self-sustaining and non-reliant on the current service providers. It does appear to be moving in that direction.
LOYALTY WHEN IT'S YOURS
There are new platforms out there, and so far they have been left alone. Probably because they are not cutting into anyone's shares or profits - yet. I have found wholesome social media experiences on MEWE and USA LIFE. They have the value that I want.
For those who think that politics have left Facebook, let me say this - "Ha!" Facebook will NOT exist without politics. Politics is the driving mechanism in the United States of America. None of the social media platforms will exist without politics. It is the driving indicator of "loyalty" value. Loyalty is not "STATIC".
BIG TECH - TOO BIG TOO FAIL?
If history is any indicator, Google and Amazon stand just as big a chance of failing as does every corporation in the world past and present. After you get to a certain point, things change. They can collapse within. It's the ever-changing dynamics of business. Move or be moved. It's not static.
Now we see Bill Gates buying up farmland in the USA - to teach people how to grow food in foreign lands - watch the markets on that one. I'm bringing out the popcorn for this one.
Here is the good news! You don't have to subscribe to politics. But it is out there for you if you want. It's good to check them all out.

Here is the good news! It's okay, and actually good, to check out all the social media platforms on the internet. It is perfectly fine. Please do. While checking your options out, know that you don't have to subscribe to political nonsense. But it is out there for you if you want. Politics is optional - it just depends on "who you follow". Nine times out of ten you can find a host of followers on all the different platforms that have a variety of tastes similar to your own. That could range from jeeping, religion, education, music, photography, all the wholesome ones. Each has its political side as well.
Facebook has had it good for years because they were one of the big firsts in the social media realm. They blazed a trail leading the way for the systems we use today, and the platforms yet to be developed in the future. Options (newer platforms) are what drives the market - it's called "competition". Without competition, your growth stales - you end up with zero growth. Facebooks niche is not static. So without competition, they will stagnate, and go the way that others such as myspace have gone.
Whether you are a techie or not, the recent happenings with many of the new social media sites have raised a few eyebrows. The fact-checking, censoring, shadow banning or the out-and-out denial of services has made a mockery of so-called free speech platforms. If they aren't free speech platforms, then who-and-what exactly are they? They are publishers, businesses making a profit on your information. If you think it's all free - they are selling "you". Selling your information.
Like it or not, the sensoring and denial of service actions in real-life affects everyone on ALL sides of the political and non-political spectrum. HOW? People will walk away from both sides of an issue, they will also switch sides now, or just disappear. Lawsuits are and will be, rolling out for the next 10 years into the future beyond. This is due to the tremulous havoc left in the wake of this digital storm. Congress (non-partisans) could repeal Section 230 placing today's big tech on the same legal footing as every other company in America, providing legal accountability. RICO Probes Into Big Tech Companies could also spring out of this next 10 years. The lawyers are walking around with bated breath right now. It's going to get dicey! Most of us will never see what occurs in the courtrooms. The money will change hands and people will go to jail. You'll read a short story here or there - but for the most part, the exchange will be invisible.
When the message becomes convoluted.
We must have an open dialogue with others on all sides of the fence. Our friends, families, and businesses depend on how we all move forward to regain civility. It is greatly important that we groom and fully vet people to run for office who set American values above their own pocketbooks. That formula runs all the way from Washington DC, down to the school board members in our local communities.
To gain wins we need to organize and be concise within our groups and organizations. Our message needs to be clear to all. There will be dissents amongst us, but don't be swayed. Keep your message on track. Stay the course.
Damn opinions already! What is needed is One Voice ( The People's) that is clear, concise, and has well-thought-out meaning. Meaning that gives hope to all. Meaning that informs and brings about understanding. That understanding needs to be the catalyst that brings about positive action and change. It's generational.
Learn to play the game. Be your own fact-checker. Write in a way that is indisputable. Then write everywhere, and on every platform.
If you must state your opinion state it in a way that the other side would agree (at least in part). It's called common ground. Start there. Leave the negative opinions at the door, especially if you haven't come to actually work on solutions.
