Delayed gratification...Life has given me an appreciation for adventure. I have been able to hang glide in the Outer Banks, NC to participate in a nationally televised competition in Burbank, CA. Yet, with all of the adventures I have participated in, the most important things I have learned has been the "in between" times.

The "Grind" of rebuilding my life. The disappointments of failed attempts at business ventures. The trusting of individuals whom didn't deserve to be trusted. The loss of sleep in securing work. This is just a small peek into the sacrifice of putting aside desires that I have wanted to invest energy towards for future goals

And, it's paying off. I have a great team of people surrounding me of family along with friends, whom I trust, supporting me. Don't give up or give in while pursuing your dreams and goals to "dream snatchers". Be blessed and remember to get encouragement to keep moving forward. Moving towards goals sometimes means that there will be sacrifices of what I want to do. Sometimes this process can get out of balance. I wrestle with committing on getting the task done compared to what I need to give up to reach the goal. Important to place non-negotiables or parameters of what I am willing to sacrifice.

Having parameters can create stability in not allowing "abuse" of one's time or the taking of time from others. I don't have a "normal" life. Although, I am definitely enjoy playtime, I understand the value that comes with sacrifice when in pursuit of dreams/goals! When I made the commitment to make fitness a lifestyle, it was one of the most important decisions of my life. In watching family and friends as I grew up, I wanted to be healthy like them. Going to the gym and exercising became one of the most important ways that I dealt with my worries at the time.

Exercise helped to form my discipline in taking care of my body, mind, and spirit. As I grow older, I am so grateful for my health today. It has been my "fountain of youth" to continue to be active as well as participate in adventures that I would have never had the confidence to try otherwise. And, to have passed on my knowledge and skill to others as a passion for work, I am truly blessed to have worked with amazing individuals who have followed in suit...

Facts 100%! Truth is a rare and valuable commodity these days. Discernment regarding information that is constantly being shared is critical. Just because a narrative is shared numerous times doesn't make it true. Critical thinking is a necessity...

Why am I sharing this today? Because when I worked in the Air Force in Intel, I learned about espionage and counter espionage towards the end of the Cold War. Studying other countries and watching the narrative worldwide ? has been a fascinating observation of what is truth in light of our world today..

Truth outweighs lies through the test of time. The playground of fitness and wellness gives the opportunity to test the validity of truth to understand when the lie shows up...Remember, watch, listen, and learn...As a trainer, truth is a necessity in reaching fitness and wellness goals since no one can reach goals on a lie.
