What determines how you make decisions? Is it based on what you see, how you feel, or what you think? If so, you might want to rethink that because this is not what the Word of God tells us how to live.
When most people hear the word 'obedience' they often bristle because it goes against our human nature of putting ourselves first because our natural tendency is to want to be in control of our own lives, but God has a better plan!
You see when we listen to God’s guidance, heed His direction and faithfully apply the instruction in His Word, we will always be both in His Perfect Will, and as Joshua 1:8 promises, “Prosper and succeed in all you do.”
Obedience to God and choosing His ways is not always easy, and the British author and lay theologian G.K. Cheserton put this well saying:
It’s not that the
Christian faith has been
tried and found difficult,
but rather it’s been found
Difficult and left untried.
So Christian, do not live your life by what you FEEL, but be obedient in FAITH and God will always safely and successfully direct your path.

A driver for a funeral home got pulled over driving his delivery van in an HOV lane, but when protesting to the police officer, he said “But I’m not in violation! There are three people back there!”
While a humorous story, the fact is that whatever 'people' WERE back there are no longer there because their souls have “Departed.”
Many people often use the term 'THE DEPARTED' when people die, but the question is, DEPARTED TO WHERE?!?
You see, we are all spirits with souls that are currently (very) temporarily inhabiting a body, but one day your soul will leave your body and depart. When it does, do you know where your soul is going and why it is going there?
This is a question that everyone must answer, and if you don’t know the answer, consider this...
You are a spirit, and who you are (your 'soul' will LIVE FOREVER! You have the choice to where it will go! And it’s NOT reincarnation (because earth eventually will end) and it’s NOT to 'nothingness' because and you cannot 'depart' to someplace that doesn’t exist.
Friend, I am not going to fill-in-the-blank the answer for you because deep down you know what I am talking about. The question is, What Will You Do About It? After you depart, where will you go? And why?
Consider carefully, because eternity is too Long to be Wrong.

Suppose you committed a serious crime, and were brought into court. The evidence against you is overwhelming, and the judge asks how do you plead and you say GUILTY, and then asks if you have anything to say and you sincerely plead:
<< “I am SO SORRY!!
I promise I will NEVER do this again!
Please have MERCY on me!” >>
Regardless of how earnest you are an EARTHLY JUDGE has no choice but to execute JUSTICE according to the law — but before the HEAVENLY JUDGE it’s a different story!
While we all deserve judgement as due justice for our sins, in God’s courtroom 1 John 2:1 says that “If any man sin, we have an ADVOCATE with the Father, JESUS CHRIST the righteous” where 'advocate' here not only means attorney or counselor, but additionally that the fine and punishment for your sin WAS fully paid for by this advocate on your behalf through the blood of Christ:
“In him (Christ) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.” - Ephesians 1:7
All of us one day will stand before the heavenly judge, and if in that courtroom you do not have Jesus as your Advocate, your sentence will be the Hammer of JUSTICE instead of the Cross of MERCY.
Friend, sincerely confess your sins today BEFORE you stand in that court, and you WILL receive God’s MERCY which you do not deserve instead of the JUSTICE that you do deserve.

God’s amazing, all-encompassing love motivates Him to be closer to you than your own beating heart and breath. In return He wants you to lavish His love by giving Him your very best, not your half-hearted left overs.
Have you walked away from Him and not stopped giving God first place in your life? If so, right now is the perfect time for you to make a 180-degree turn! Returning to the Lord will restore you to His loving, guiding hand and always lead you back onto the correct path.
An old classic hymn says, “His Eye Is On The Sparrow, and I Know He watches Me.” By contrast, your life even more so is much more precious than a little sparrow! YOU and His loving eye in on you for your ultimate benefit and blessing.
Friend, right NOW is the perfect time to return wholeheartedly to your heavenly Father with a truly repentant heart, and the way to do it is by asking Him to forgive you from straying away from Him — and for certain, — He will welcome you with His loving outstretched arms.
It is NEVER too late to turn to back to God!
