Looking for advice...in a band with 7 other people and trying to find a calendar that can be shared within the group and edited by each of the group. We have tried the google calendar which doesn't seem to work as people post dates that others can't see. I went to Reagan.com and their "shared calendar" isn't up and running yet.
On Friday I picked up my brother who has lived in Germany since 1975. He is home ONLY because of his 50th class reunion. As is often the case, siblings are total opposites and WE ARE. The only thing we have in common is our last name. Needless to say in the short time we have been together, he has not changed a bit...liberal as heck. America is bad, covid is real, and the shot is our only hope, and lockdowns, mask are necessary. While I TOTALLY disagree, I say very little and let him spout off as there is nothing I could say to change is mind...he has totally bought in to the BS from the left. What is really discouraging is his disdain for this Country even though his life now would not be anything without America. He worked in Germany...a country he LOVES for 45 years but all he has to show for it is a pension that covers his rent and medical insurance. He has traveled the world, seemingly twice and has help a family in Jerusalem generously and all of that because of America, not Germany. I hope one day he will acknowledge what America gave him, but not holding my breath.
In an earlier post I talk about working the Plymouth County Fair. My goal with that Fair and all the others that I go to, is to TRY to bring awareness about health. It seems to be a losing proposition and in the weeks ahead will decide whether to continue to TRY or just bag it and let the people find out for themselves as I did some 20+ years ago. As the saying goes...you can lead a horse to water but the horse will ultimately decide to drink or not and face what happens with that choice. I feel more that I can't even find a horse to lead. Oh well. An interesting moment yesterday as my booth was next to the Democratic booth. For much of the Fair young people would walk past that booth sporting Trump hats or flags. It seemed to intimidate them and think they had a talk with someone to try to stop that. I find it amazing how they are easily offended when a few people exercise their right of expression. Of interest a former military vet and father of four young girls really got in their face and called them out. Their motto at the Fair...Democrats Care about People and listed all the things they stand for...what a CROCK of Crap. As I was leaving the Fair, I wanted to call them out and simply say...their motto is a JOKE and it isn't funny, but didn't, I just walked out. I also wanted to say to them...how do you like being verbally attacked, it happens all the time to our side. Still encouraged that so many young people seem to have an interest in what is happening knowing their future is at stake.
This week I am in LeMars, Iowa at the Plymouth County Fair promoting my business Back to Basics 101 in the hopes of bringing "awareness" to health and what people can do. So far, like the first two Fairs, it seems to be an exercise of futility. Yes, I have three more days, BUT. This year my booth is next to the Democrats booth. At first I was almost upset, but now I am not as I can see close up the reaction that people or most are giving them. Most encouraging is how "high schoolers" are reacting and maybe just maybe the younger generation is realizing was is happening to the Country they will someday inherit. Is it too late to change the direction of this Nation...one can only hope. A couple of weeks ago at another county Fair here in Iowa, the Democrats didn't even bother to have a booth and now learned two years ago the Democrats had to bring in outside the state and PAY people to man a booth....encouraging
