Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, entered the U.S. Navy in 1965 at the age of 17 and was trained as a Navy Corpsman at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, CA. Tours in Pensacola FL, Guantanamo Bay Cuba (McCalla NAS), Viet Nam aboard the USS Diamond Head AE 19 Ammunition Ship and a short stay in Patuxent River MD before being honorably discharged in April of 1968. Started working for AT&T in September of 1969, and married the Love of my life Marlene on November 10th 1973. Retired from AT&T at the end of 2000, went to work for Tellabs under contract for a few years, then left there and took an easier, less stressful job at Home Depot. Bought a home in Falcon, Colorado in 2005 with a view of Pikes Peak out our front window and the High Plains out the back, moved there leaving Chicago behind in April of 2006. Still enjoying retirement out here at the tender age of 73, the only thing I miss about the midwest is the fishing and real Pizza, I love it here but there's no really good fishing or awesome Pizza in Colorado, however there are a lot of Micro Breweries which makes it a little easier to get by.
